CHAPTER 11: EDIT PART PAGE

The Edit Part screen allows you to set and tweak the sample for each drum part.
EDIT PART MAIN SCREEN DETAILS:
KD / SD/ CH / ETC INDIVIDUAL PART SELECTION
Press one of these buttons, KD for kick drum, SD for snare drum, etc, to choose the specific part to edit. The part that is currently being edited will be displayed in bold.
SAVE AND REVERT BUTTONS
When you've made changes to a drum machine, press the blinking Save button to save those changes into the drum machine slot memory. If instead of saving you decide you don't like the changes you've made and want to start over, press Revert.
PITCH CONTROL
Sets the pitch of the sample. 0 is the regular pitch, +12 is an octave higher, -12 an octave lower.
FRONT AND END TRIM SLIDER CONTROLS
Sets the start and end points of the sample. This allows you to skip some of the beginning of a sample, or trim off some of the end.
SAMPLE SELECTION BUTTON - "Linn Kick" IN FIGURE 11A
This button displays the sample name of the part, in Figure 11A you can see the Kick Drum is using the "Linn Kick" sample. Pressing this button bring up the sample browser list so you can change which sample you wish to use.

A list of the available drum machine samples to choose from. Touch the one you wish to use, then press the sample selection button again to get back to the main edit page.
PRESETS AND IMPORTED BUTTONS
These buttons toggle between showing the preset samples we included with FunkBox, and your custom imported samples that were brought in using the Import Sample menu.
SAMPLE SELECTION BUTTON - "Linn Kick" IN FIGURE 11B
This button will display the currently chosen sample for the part. Press it again to get back to the main Edit Part menu.
