EDIT BOX SCREEN DETAILS:
DRUM MACHINE SLOT SELECTION
Choose which drum machine slot you wish to edit. Note that though the picture and name of each drum machine will stay the same when edited, you can load anything into, for instance, slot 1: TR-808. The name for that slot will always be called 1: TR-808, and it still calls it that no matter what you have loaded in there, but you can load a tweaked TR-606 sample set or Linn or whatever else you want using Edit Parts and Load Box.
RANDOM VOLUME AND RANDOM TIMING SLIDERS
These sliders allow you to give the current box a little bit (or a lot!) of a random feel. Random volume will vary the volume of the various drum hits, and random timing will of course randomize their timing. If the timing of FunkBox is sounding way off and you can't figure out why, don't forget to check and see if you had set these to some crazy value...
EDIT PARTS BUTTON
Press this button to call up the Edit Parts page, where you can adjust the individual samples of the drum machine.
LOAD/SAVE BOX BUTTON
Press this button to call up the page that allows you to load and save drum boxes. We've included some alternate versions of boxes like the TR-808 and TR-908 with different sample, so if you aren't feeling the preset one, try one of the others.
SAMPLE IMPORT BUTTON
Press this button to call up the Sample Import page, so you can import your own samples into FunkBox. You will need to have loaded your samples into FunkBox's Documents folder while synced with iTunes beforehand.
